For over a year I've had PP on two computers but have only used it on one. Eventually I have tested Dropbox as a means of syncing the data using a shared folder and it was fab! I've managed to sync all the data from one computer to the other.
But, I was disappointed to note that sales records in the "unprinted" and "unshipped" of Computer 1 didn't appear in the same location on Computer 2, instead they're in archive.
I realise that you write
"To prevent processing the same record twice, current records are not synchronised between PCs. They can be manually transferred if required."
I understand this could be a problem, but is there a way around this because the following is how we process orders:
I print orders and a picking list in the evening using Computer 1 (laptop).
My partner has to take my Computer 1 to store to process the orders the next day.
Ideally he should use Computer 2. I thought I had found the solution with Dropbox, but the results aren't quite as I expected as they're not identical on both computers. You suggest manually transferring, so does this mean transferring records to and from both laptops each day?
Thank you for any advice.

The internal database doesn't allow current records to be on 2 PCs at once, as they have to have one 'owner'.
It is easy to transfer the records:
On PC1 in the records tab, click Records>Transfer Out.
On PC2, there will be a notification on the statusbar, to transfer the records in.

Thank you Andrew, we've tested the transfer out and it works perfectly. We just have to make sure we remember to transfer out :)
